There’re couple of positions where you can start the timer: Open the timer with click on “Start Timer” on the top or on “Log Hours” in your quick toolbox.

Further, you can start the timer on the timesheet’s page:

Also, you can start the timer on the scheduler. Either on the top…

… or you can start the timer directly for a time ticket on it’s quick selection:

You can also add the timer if you open a time ticket and go to “Timesheets for this ticket”.

Tracking Time for a Scheduled Task/Time Ticket

If you open the timer you see at first your open tasks from the Scheduler. On the timer list are all open (inclomplete) time ticket until today.

You can see how much you already tracked to a time ticket (timesheet needs to be connected to the time ticket) and you can close a time ticket directly in the timer by clicking on the “complete-icon”. If you click on it while the timer is running the timer will be stopped, timesheet will be saved and time ticket will be marked as complete.

To start the timer for a time ticket, just click on the “Play-Icon”:

If the timer’s running you can stop the timer by click on the “stop” icon or pause the timer by clicking on the pause icon on top:

If you started the timer from the scheduled tasks list for a time ticket you cannot change the task on the “Select Project” tab. You need first to save the timer and then you can select any project where you’re assinged.

Select Project

On the “Select Project” tab you can select any project where you are assigned to. Just select a project and a task and click on start timer. Please note that you need to select a task to start the timer.

Save Note while Timer is Running

To save a note while the timer is running just enter enter your note to this time record and click below on “Save notes” to save your notes but not stopp/pause the timer.

Edit Start Time while Timer is Running

To edit the start time while the timer is running click on the start time on the bottom and you can edit the start (not the start date).

Adjustment of the Final Time https://zistemo.com/knowledge-base/content/adjustment-end-time/ Tue, 14 Mar 2017 10:57:50 +0000 https://moneypenny.me/knowledge-base/?post_type=ht_kb&p=2196 How to round the final time

In zistemo, Projects have an option titled “Automatic adjustment of the time”. This means that if you will log hours on a specific project through the timer, the time will be rounded up. Please note that manual time entries won’t be rounded.

Mark this checkbox and choose the adjustment you prefer:

You have 6 options:
– “To the next 5 min” – time will be rounded to: h:05, h:10, h:15, h:20, h:25, h:30, h:35, h:40, h:45, h:50, h:55, h:00. For example, if the timer logged 1:12 – it will be saved as 1:15, 1:34 -> 1:35, 1:47 ->1:50, etc.
– “To the next 10 min” – time will be rounded to: h:10, h:20, h:30, h:40, h:50, h:00. For example: 1:12 -> 1:20, 1:34 -> 1:40, 1:47 ->1:50, etc.
– “To the next 15 min” – time will be rounded to: h:15, h:30, h:45, h:00. For example: 1:12 -> 1:15, 1:34 -> 1:45, 1:47 ->2:00, etc.
– “To the next 20 min” – time will be rounded to: h:20, h:40, h:00. For example: 1:12 -> 1:20, 1:34 -> 1:40, 1:47 -> 2:00, etc.
– “To the next 30 min” – time will be rounded to h:30 or h:00. For example: 1:12 -> 1:30, 1:34 ->2:00, 1:47 -> 2:00, etc.
– “To the next full hour” – time will be rounded to next full hour. For example: 1:12 -> 2:00, 1:34 -> 2:00, 1:47 -> 2:00.

When you will work on a project that has the adjustment on the timer activated, you will always see a note about it:

IMPORTANT: If you will save the time log, the actual time will be displayed in the timesheet table (without rounding).

However, it will be rounded in the invoice that you will generate for this project (read more on “how to generate an invoice” here)

For instance, the time for the above project will be invoiced as it follows:

Round time when timer is on pause

By default all time logs will be rounded, even if you just pause the timer. But for some projects it might be good if the pause won’t be rounded. Because of that, you can now deactivate that feature when creating a project where you set automatic adjustment of time.

Further, you can decide each time if you pause a time if you want that time to be rounded or not. The checkboxes will be active or not, based on the settings you made on that project.

For project Budget, always real time not rounded time is used.
